TOM WELLING

Tom Welling was born in upstate New York and spent years in Michigan, Wisconsin and Delaware. He graduated in 1995 from Okemos High School in Okemos, Michigan. He performing in high school where he acted theater productions. He then went on to work as a world class model for the Lousia Modeling Agency. The 24 year old recently moved to L.A. to pursue acting career and landed a guest appearance on "Special unit2" as Flower "Scar" Roberts in the episode The Depths.

Welling's first recurring role came when he played Amy's love interest Rob Meltzer in Judging Amy, for which he received the adoration of many fans. Most recently Welling had a small role as a frat-boy in The Pilot episode of the well reviewed new series "Undeclared" which aired on Sept. 25, 2001.

He is making his series debut in Smallville as the boy of steel Cark Kent.

Welling lives in L.A. and enjoys playing basketball, reading and running.

His Character: Welling portrays a 15 year old Clark Kent who is in the process of self discovery, and feels awkward in the knowledge of his special gifts. His secret is shared with his adopted parents Jonathan and Martha Kent. Although the Kents can guide him Clark alone must come to terms with being unique. Tom Welling was chosen to portray Clark Kent after a nationwide search to find a fresh face for the role.

 
Kristin Kreuk

Kristin Kreuk was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. She started acting in high school. In her senior year a casting director looking for new talent for the television series Edgemont selected her for the starring role of Laurel. Kreuk has starred on the series for two seasons and will continue her role while filming Smallville. This fall she will star in the title role of the television movie Snow White, opposite Miranda Richardson.

Kreuk lives with her family in Vancouver and enjoys reading and spending time with friends.

Her Character: Kreuk portrays a 15 year old Lana Lang. An orphan, like Kent, Lana must come to terms with her loneliness. Although she wards it off well by being popular, outgoing, and exceptionally beautiful. She still finds herself yearning for her parents who were killed by the meteor shower twelve years earlier. Lana is a popular girl who dates the high school quarterback Whitney Fordman. However, she is intrigued by the mystery and danger that Lex Luther represents. Perhaps he will help her get out of Smallville which is her greatest desire.

Michael Rosenbaum

Michael Rosenbaum was born in Oceanside, N.Y. and raised in Newburgh, Ind., Rosenbaum discovered drama in high school. He went on to study mass communications and theater at Western Kentucky University. It was there that he started performing in theater productions during his summer breaks.

After graduation, he moved to New York where he landed roles in off-Broadway plays and small independent films.This soon lead to regular appearances on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" in a sketch called "The Amsterdam Kids.

He became a regular on "The Tom Show" with Tom Arnold, and then landed a role as Jack on "Zoe, Duncan, Jack & Jane."

On the big screen, Rosenbaum's can be seen in "Sweet November," with Keanu Reeves, "Urban Legend," and "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil."

Rosenbaum's upcoming film is "Dog Catcher" where he stars opposite Harland Williams and Barry Watson. Watch for it in theaters in 2002. He is starring in the film "G.S.P.O.T." with Tom Arnold which has just started production this summer. Rosenbaum can also be seen in the lead role in the independent drama "Poolhall Junkies" with Christopher Walken, Rick Schroder and Chaz Palminteri.

Rosenbaum lives in LA, belongs to an ice hockey league, plays guitar, and enjoys the occasional video game.

His Character: Rosenbaum plays Lex Luther the only son of pesticide "king" Lionel Luthor of Luther Corporation. At the age of 9 Lex suffered a misfortunate accident which caused him to loose all of his bright red hair. Since the accident occurred while Lex was in his father's care, Lionel felt responsible. Lionel's guilt and shame caused him to spoil Lex by lavishing him with gifts and money, while at the same time pulling away from Lex and providing very little emotional support. Lex is disturbed by his father's lack of compassion.

Lex can be described as an academically brilliant social misfit. He graduated from Metropolis University at the top of his class. His father , seeing Lex as a treat, sends him off to Smallville to turn a struggling fertilizer plant around. But Lex knows it's a one-way ticket. So Lex is planning to destroy his fathers business and take over Luthor Corp.

When Lex arrives in Smallville, a car accident brings him together with Clark Kent. They become friends. To Clark, Lex is the big brother he never had and to Lex, Clark is a trustworthy friend. And so it begins, the remarkable friendship that will eventually lead to the ultimate betrayal

  
John Schneider

John Richard Schneider was born April 8,1960 in Mt. Kisco, where he was raised. Schneider currently lives just outside of Los Angeles with his wife Elly, and their three children.Schneider has had a successful and varied career, he has done everything from television, movies, stage, to and country music.

I think we all remember Schneider as Bo Duke in the long running 80's series "The Dukes of Hazzard".

Recently he had the chance to play Bo again in the television movie "The Dukes of Hazzard: Hazzard in Hollywood". He was also a series regular on "Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman".

As well as television series, Schneider has starred in several television movies, including "The Legend of Ruby Silver", "Michael Landon, the Father I Knew", "Texas and Desperate Journey", and "True Women, Night of the Twisters".

On the big screen, he appeared in "Snow Day" with Chevy Chase, and Garry Marshall's "Exit to Eden". He will star in the upcoming "Lightning: Storm of Destruction". Schneider performed in the Tony Award-winning musical Grand Hotel. He has released 11 solo albums, including a No. 1 album and four No. 1 singles. The information above taken from supermanhomepage

His Character: John plays Jonathan Kent Clark's father. Kent is a kind, upstanding, moralistic man who is the perfect mentor for a superhuman child.

  
Annette O'Toole

Annette O'Toole was born on April 1, 1952 in Houston, Texas. O'Toole started acting at the age of 13 when her family moved to Los Angeles. Her first big break came she landed a role as a conniving beauty pageant contestant in the 1975 film "Smile." Since then, she has appeared in several big screen productions including "48 Hrs," "Cat People, "King of the Gypsies"," Hear on Earth" and "Love at Large".

Superman fans will remember her most fondly as Lana Lang in the 1983 film "Superman III".

O'Toole can be seen in the newly released cable production The Huntress, where she plays "Dottie Thorson" a woman who teams up with her 18 year-old daughter to become bounty hunters.She also played Lisa Bridges a series regular on the CBS series "Nash Bridges". She has guest-starred on "Law & Order", "Boy Meets World" and "Frasier". She has appeared in several TV movies and mini-series including "Jewels", "Dead By Sunset", "Final Justice", "Final Descent", "The Christmas Box", "Keeping the Promise", "Love Matters", "White Lie", "Stephen King's It", "The Dreamer of Oz", "A Girl of the Limberlost", Stand By Your Man", "Broken Vows", "Copacabana" and "The Entertainer"

Recently, O'Toole's role as Rose Kennedy in the TV miniseries "The Kennedys of Massachusetts" has earned her a nomination for the Emmy and Golden Globe Awards.

O'Toole's theater credits include "Love Letters", the long running LA production of "Vanities", 'Yankee Wives", "Sun Bearing Down" and "Merton of the Movies".

O'Toole lives in La and is married to actor Michael McKean.

Her Character: O'Toole plays Martha Kent , the wife of Jonathan and stepmother to Clark Kent. Martha is wise, kind and moralistic like her husband Jonathan. She is the perfect mother to a superhero son.
